1. What Solacse is (and isn't)

Solacse is a technology platform that provides an AI companion for emotional support and, separately, a directory that helps users discover independent licensed professionals. Solacse is not a medical clinic, hospital, therapy practice, or licensed healthcare provider. The AI companion is an artificially generated chatbot — not a human and not a licensed medical provider.

2. Intermediary hosting provider & marketplace

Solacse operates strictly as an intermediary hosting provider and marketplace. We host user-generated content (including professional listings, profiles, availability, and messages) and facilitate connections between users and independent professionals. We do not employ the professionals listed in the directory, do not supervise their clinical work, and are not a party to the care relationship between a user and a professional.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Solacse relies on the intermediary / "hosting provider" liability exemptions available in relevant jurisdictions, including but not limited to:

  • the European Union e-Commerce Directive (2000/31/EC) and the Digital Services Act (Regulation (EU) 2022/2065);
  • Section 230 of the U.S. Communications Decency Act, where applicable;
  • Section 79 of the Information Technology Act, 2000 (India) and the IT (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules, 2021;
  • equivalent "safe harbor" regimes in China, Brazil (Marco Civil da Internet), and other jurisdictions.

Users and professionals are solely responsible for the content they post and the professional services they provide or receive.

3. Notice & takedown / report a professional

Solacse maintains an accessible notice-and-takedown mechanism to preserve its intermediary status. Any user may report a professional listing directly from that professional's public profile using the "Report this professional" button, or by writing to us. Reports are triaged by our trust & safety team. Where a report credibly alleges an ethical, legal, or safety violation, Solacse may suspend or remove the professional's account and/or content immediately pending investigation, in order to retain safe-harbor protection.

To submit a report, include:

  • the professional's name and profile URL;
  • a description of the alleged violation, with dates where possible;
  • your contact email (optional but helpful for follow-up).

Counter-notices from suspended professionals may be sent to the same address; we will review in good faith and reinstate accounts where a report is unsubstantiated.

4. Professional listings

Professionals who apply to Solacse warrant that they hold, and will maintain, all licenses, certifications, and insurance required to practise in the jurisdictions where they see clients. Solacse verifies credentials on a best-efforts basis but does not guarantee the accuracy of any professional's self-reported information. Users should independently confirm a professional's qualifications before engaging them.

5. AI companion — not a medical device

The AI companion is provided for general emotional support and self-reflection. It is not a medical device, does not diagnose or treat any condition, and must not be relied on in an emergency. 6. Data & discoverability

Chat logs and other interaction data are retained as described in the Privacy Policy. Users acknowledge that such records may become discoverable in legal proceedings (for example, family law or custody disputes).

7. Prohibited use

Users and professionals must not use Solacse to:

  • impersonate a licensed provider or misrepresent credentials;
  • harass, abuse, or endanger any person;
  • provide medical, legal, or financial advice they are not qualified to give;
  • upload illegal, infringing, or harmful content.

8. Suspension & termination

Solacse may suspend or terminate any account — user or professional — at any time, with or without notice, where we reasonably believe suspension is necessary to protect users, comply with law, or preserve intermediary protections.

9. Disclaimers & limitation of liability

The platform is provided "as is". To the maximum extent permitted by law, Solacse disclaims all warranties, and is not liable for the acts or omissions of independent professionals or of other users. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.
